The March of Life is Mourning the Dead of Pittsburgh

We are deeply disturbed by the terrible attack against the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh and our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the 11 victims.

They were killed because of blind antisemitic hatred. President Trump demanded for everyone to work together to eradicate the poison of antisemitism. The Israeli Prime Minister declared all Israel was mourning the dead of Pittsburgh. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said, "We have to show great determination to stand against this hatred - everywhere."

March of Life, known in the US as March of Remembrance, has been mobilizing tens of thousands of Christians from all denominations in 20 nations for more than 10 years to raise their voices on the streets against antisemitism and Jew hatred.

Since 2011, we have been holding several Marches of Remembrance in cooperation with numerous churches and denominations and the Jewish community in Pittsburgh to make a statement against antisemitism and Jew hatred. On May 1, 2011, the churches issued the Pittsburgh Declaration which now, 7 years later, has to prove its worth.

In this declaration, the churches promise, “You will never be attacked as a people while we, who are Christians stand by and do nothing. We covenant with you that we will never be silent, never abandon you.” (click here for the complete text of the Pittsburgh declaration)

The March of Life Movement in the US and in all other nations is now more necessary than ever.

We are calling all churches in the US: Take to the highways and byways in marches and demonstrations. Organize a March of Life / March of Remembrance against antisemitism and Jew hatred and for friendship and solidarity with the Jewish people and Israel. Join the March of Life Movement. Raise your voice and be a light!
